Mk2. Post Warden.

An Post Warden was a vital part of the ARP organisation,the Post Warden would have supplied information to, & received instruction from the local ARP control centre.
 The post warden would have covered an area roughly 1/4 mile square in built up area's with around 500 people.
 The helmet was originally factory painted khaki green, then black, to now how you see it. White with an black W to front & rear. Most likely made by BMB & dated 1939,the liner is dated 1940, made by TTC & is a good size at 7 1/4.
 The owner has added a cap comforter for extra warmth.
